Assessment of smoking cessation training programs in Europe

The report contains information from fifteen European countries and reflects the significant consideration that was given in the development of the survey tool to minimise language difficulties.
The tool identified existing National training standards, numbers, duration and core content of individual training courses, evaluation processes, and accreditation of courses to national structures as well as contact details for all trainers listed.
The report confines its recommendations to three distinctly recognisable levels of common training from within the participating countries i.e. Brief Intervention Training, Smoking Cessation Training and Train the Trainer Training.
